Water Treatment Plant Control Panels to Strengthen Clean Water Supplies in Sarawak

The REMOX integrated control panels and system are designed for our client to provide centralized monitoring and process control for a 5MLD capacity water treatment plant supporting a local township near Sibu. This project will benefit more than 2000 households and its surrounding industries, as part of the project under the Sarawak Water Supply Master Plan.

Solutions

  • At the heart of the system is a master control panel with PLC and HMI functions as a centralised system for the water treatment plant
  • System is designed to overlook the 5MLD plant and monitor real-time data from key water treatment process
  • Various process instrumentation is utilized to realize the fully automatic control of the water treatment plant:
  • Acquired data is converted into trend graphs for easy visualization of performance
  • Parameters/data trend monitoring includes pH trend, flow trend, chlorine trend, raw and treated NTU, chemical usage, dosing pump data, activity log
  • Clarifier sub-panels installed at 2 individual trains, provide localized control and monitoring of the sedimentation process, enabling efficient settling of suspended solids in the water
  • Levels of alarms are in place via system settings allowing site operators to address minor deviations from operating range. During severe or critical conditions, alarm may also trigger further safety protocols
