Landfill Leachate Treatment Control System

A comprehensive REMOX control system that oversees the leachate treatment process that treats highly contaminated and toxic wastewater.

In landfills, leachate is a liquid that enters the landfill from external sources such as rainfall, surface drainage, underground springs and groundwater, and from the liquid produced from the putrefaction of waste. The properties of leachate is complex, generally consists of undesirable substances such as organic / inorganic contaminants and ammonia.

We developed a comprehensive REMOX control system to help our client oversees the leachate treatment process that treats the highly contaminated and toxic wastewater from the leachate treatment process.

Solutions

  • System is designed to allow plant to run autonomously without human intervention unless necessary.
  • A HMI is provided for the client to adjust the required setpoints in-situ.
  • System is then upgraded to 4G REMOX monitoring system as the need for remote monitoring arises after plant handover.
  • Various plant parameters such as flow, pH, conductivity and ORP readings are connected to the PLC to allow constant control and monitoring.
