A PLC based control system for a WWTP SBR batching process at a metal processing factory is developed for the client. The system uses a PLC to allow flexible setting of the huge amount of timers involved with the SBR process.

Solutions

  • A PLC system with HMI is deployed to allow easy setting of the timers involved with the batching SBR process treatment.
  • An ultrasonic level sensor is used to control the filling and draining of the CBR and SBR tanks.
  • A pH meter is used to monitor the pH of the CBR tank and regulates the chemical dosing pumps to ensure that the proper pH is achieved for the process.
  • All timers associated with the process can be easily adjusted using the HMI screen.
  • System is a low volume processing plant, with batching happening every couple of days.
