A flow and temperature verification service is carried out for 9 commercial buildings located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A regular flow verification at consistent intervals and record keeping will help ensure that the system is operating at its optimum condition. An I-SYSTEM service report prepared by our technical team is useful for auditing and documentation purposes.
Requirements
- Instrument: One flow meter and two (2) temperature sensors (Supply and Return line) in each building.
- Pipeline size: 250-500 mm
- Wall thickness: 6-8 mm
- Medium: Chilled water from chiller system
- Temperature: 5-13°C
- To ensure the flow meter error variation within +-5% against calibrated ultrasonic flow meter.
- To ensure the temperature sensors error variation within +-5% against calibrated digital multi meter.
Solutions
- For flow meter, a point of measurement was chosen on the incoming chiller pipeline. The reading is compared against the current flow meter as well as the controller to the BMS System.
- For temperature sensors, the resistance reading for the temperature sensor is measured with calibration digital multi meter. The difference of supply and return temperature is calculated and compared.
- Flow meter error deviation was within +-5%
- Temperature sensors error deviation were within +-5%.
- This verification lasts for one (1) year.
