Conductive electrode level switches offer a simple and cost-effective solution for point level detection in industrial applications. This method works with conductive liquids such as acids, lyes and solutions containing water. Hydrocarbons, oils and solvents, which are generally not very conductive, are not suitable for this measurement method.
Applications include open tanks, ponds, reservoirs, sumps, pharmaceuticals, closed vessels, etc. Conductive electrode level switches are typically used for alarm point detection, fill level detection, on/off pump valve control applications, dry running condition protection, etc.
- Simple, robust and cost-effective
- Single or multiple point detection with one process connection
- No calibration is required
- There are no moving parts
When the electrodes are in contact with liquid, the circuit is closed (the liquid completes the path for electricity to flow) and the electrical current that flows in this circuit is used to detect the level of the liquid. Detecting the resistance between the electrodes and comparing it to see if it is larger or smaller than a reference resistance is used to detect the surface of the liquid.
Single point: Work with 3 sensor rods (Reference, Start & Stop) that work in conjunction to turn on and off your water pump automatically. This helps keep water levels at a consistent level.
Multi point: Up to 5 sensor rods (ie reference, low alarm, fill start, fill stop, high alarm). These rods can be programmed to do multiple tasks when water reach the predetermined points.
Electrodes:
- Lock nuts are used to connect the electrodes with the electrode holder
- Electrodes can be cut or extend according to installation requirements
- In the case of an extension, connecting nuts are used to connect the electrodes
- Separator is used to prevent adjacent electrodes from coming in contact with each other
Floatless relay:
- Floatless relays are level controllers that detect water levels based on the conductivity of the medium measured by using conductive electrodes
- Compact plug-in controller
- Easy installation on DIN rail
- Applied to a wide range of fluids
- Enable to organize up to 8 poles:
- ABS plastic (max 5 poles)
- ADC (max 8 poles)
- Easy installation and operation
- Multi-wire type application
- SS304 electrode with PE sleeve
- Designed to keep water vapor out of the holder to prevent corrosion and malfunction
